Doctor Who Internet brings you relevant videos, articles, and various fan projects of amazing, humorous, or historical relevance.

One of the best Dalek stories in Doctor Who’s history, despite being black and white, from the 60s, and reconstructed (missing). But it’s going to be remade in a fan production that, judging by this trailer, will be fantastic. Several people including myself nearly thought it was an official BBC production. [link] Victory of the Daleks gave it a nod with I am your sssoldier!

:bulletblue: Dalek Origins [link] From a real world perspective. A nice article about production, the creator(s) of the Daleks fictional and real life, and how Terry Nation contradicted himself on Dalek history, why it’s muddled, alternate versions, the works. Best if you copy-paste the article’s content into a Word document for a more readable / less painful font. I would also stop after paragraph 9, at which point the article becomes speculation that is unnecessary if you subscribe to the radio drama I, Davros, don’t care for the classic series, or do not like super heavy continuity speculations. :bulletblue: Introduction to Classic [link] [link] [link] [link] [link] For people who don’t have the time to watch the classic series but would like some basic background and info about the early Doctors, here are nice summary videos for the first five incarnations.

:bulletblue: General Who [link] Nothing particularly groundbreaking here. It’s Matt Smith talking about Doctor Who, the upcoming official Doctor Who convention in Cardiff, etc...

:bulletblue: Reign of Terror [link] A first Doctor story set in the French revolution is missing. However, an animated version is set to be released this year- preview the story here: Note: *MightyOtaking is helping animate it.

:bulletblue: Day of the Moon [link] A music video based on the episode set to a fan’s Trock song.

:bulletblue: Tonight [link] An eleventh Doctor music video for your entertainment.

:bulletblue: Promise [link] An eleventh Doctor – River music video. This coincidence was not intentional. By definition.

:bulletblue: Extra
The Davros Tapes [link] A small article. No particularly new information compared to the Terry Molloy feature done in the “48th Anniversary!” update of Doctor Who Internet, but something nice to throw in.
Project Who [link] Is on Facebook. Artwork of *all* facets of the Who franchise to celebrate the 50th anniversary. Done by ~DoctorRy.
Spinoff Viewing Guide [link] Good to have on reference. A chronological order of all episodes of Doctor Who, Torchwood, and the Sarah Jane Adventures combined.

A question for readers: Do you go through all the links? If not, why do you pick the ones you do? Also, again you almost didn’t get one. Just got back in town and leaving again tomorrow.

:bulletgreen: In the course of my lives I have much to apologise for. I sincerely regret sundry heinous offences against fashion. In my defence I plead the regrettable taste of previous incarnations; it wasn’t me, it was me.

After reading the history of the Daleks I find myself wishing the the newer series would create one major Dalek plotline, combining all the stories together by taking elements from each story and telling the 'true' story as if each story told before had a bit of truth in it, but not totally.
Thank you for the videos on all the Doctors. I am still so disappointed in myself for not going to watch more of the old series.
The Promise video is not one of my favorite Doctor Who fanmade videos :)
And as always, I love seeing all the Doctor Who crafts. ^_^ It makes me wish I was more talented...
ZOMG. SOFT DALEK~! 8D

And in answer to your question, I do go through all the links. It depends on whether I actually do stuff on the links though. I normally don't go through the archive stuff, and I try to watch all the videos but if they're really really long then I only watch a bit before leaving the link. I enjoy looking at the Doctor Who crafts the most.

And thank you again for doing these journals :)

Thanks so much for consistently commenting :)

I'm not sure how I feel about the Dalek plot line. Everybody says its a chaotic mess but I've never felt that it was. I just never think about it really. In my mind, the Daleks have been around for a realllyyy long time so it's like they're a constant in the universe like the Time Lords.

Big Bang Theory fan? Me too :D Speaking of which, ever heard of Community?

Community is a sitcom like BBT about a bunch of friends (approx 7) in a community college. It's funny in its geekiness. It doesn't really quote or mention lots of geeky things in RL like Star Trek or anything, but just the tone of the show is geeky. As a more critical fan of Community said, it 'embraces geek culture instead of insulting it'. Which, with a larger cast and an interesting style/tone it definitely sports a geek-culture tone. I don't think BBT insults geeks though.

Plus there's this adorable Aspergers-instead-of-OCD version of Sheldon, Abed. But his oddness isn't really a joke... I heard about the show because of these two clips: [link] [link]

I do hit up most of the links, depending on my time constraints. I go for anything that I can use to support that blog I'm writing, occasionally vids(If I havent' already viewed them via tumblr) and always the pictures.

I click on all of the links :) I'm always looking forward to finding these, waiting to cheer me up on a monday morning - I don't always have time to read very long texts, but I usually watch videos (most are mainly to listen to anyway) and I always look at all pictures.

Great to hear! I know that some articles (like the Dalek one) can be very long and tedious. To be honest, after paragraph 9 I more just glanced over. I think the pictures are entertaining too. Lots of funny stuff goes on in the internet...

Waking up to this on a Monday morning sounds really nice- providing you have the time to enjoy it. I usually end up running out the door and grabbing some sort of food as I do so.

Well, I'm sort of sleepless, so I tend to be up two hours before my alarm clock rings - plenty of time. Doesn't necessarily mean that I don't end up running out the door with breakfast in my hand, though ;)
