Doctor Who Internet brings you relevant videos, articles, and various fan projects of amazing, humorous, or historical relevance.

General Doctor Who goodness this week, no particular features to mention. Just keep vworpin. Let’s start this off with a scene from an episode of The Sarah Jane Adventures, a Doctor Who spin-off series that starred Elizabeth Sladen as Sarah-Jane Smith, former companion of the third and fourth Doctor. In this scene from the second episode of the two-parter ‘Death of the Doctor’, Jo Grant, companion of the third Doctor, has a wonderful discussion with the eleventh Doctor. Majorly awesome isn't that? Love a multi-generational series. [link]

:bulletblue: Doc Sherlock [link] [link] Two very different takes on the phrase ‘Sherlock Doctor Who theme’.
Kindly refrain from referring to me as 'Doc'!

:bulletblue: Anniversaries [link] [link] Firstly, a teaser trailer version of the 50th anniversary tied to the ‘big question’ from the series 6 finale, and a video dedicated to the 40th anniversary of Doctor Who. Essentially that means it’s a celebration of Doctors 1-8.

:bulletblue: In 45 Seconds [link] Doctor Who. I found this nice and pretty darn good considering it’s nearly 50 years of history condensed.

:bulletblue: Bit of Silliness [link] For fans of Dr. Horrible’s Sing Along Blog (Joss Whedon), the Bad Horse song and the Master. And perhaps her majesty is a Whovian? [link]

:bulletblue: More Videos Firstly, celebrating the eleventh Doctor, set to When You Were Young by The Killers: [link]. And then with Losing Your Memory by Ryan Star: [link]. And then for the dubstep fans: [link]

:bulletblue: Reminisce [link] New and classic fans should (re)watch this. A great scene I had forgotten from Tomb of the Cybermen in which the second Doctor and Victoria have a heartwarming chat. Also, it turns out that The Rescue isn’t the only story in which the Doctor takes a nap...

:bulletblue: Animate! [link] It’s no recent news that the BBC has been animating the missing episodes of The Reign of Terror. But apparently our very own *MightyOtaking, creator of the Doctor Who fan anime, is helping out. Read more at his FAQ blog.

:bulletblue: Childhood with Doctor Who [link] An interesting fan’s account of Doctor Who’s influence on them as a child.

Daily Show Chase w/ Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert Chase: [link] Wait for the end...

This was a long one. I’m doing pretty good for a semi-biweekly blog! Take note: my choice in music videos has nothing to do with my music preferences, most of the songs linked I don’t know. And who here thinks there are too many fan variations of the theme song?

:bulletgreen: Pain and loss, they define us as much as happiness or love. Whether it's a world, or a relationship... Everything has its time. And everything ends.

Wow, you have combined many of my favorite things - Doctor Who, Sherlock and Dr. Horrible. That's wonderful.
I remember that speech from Troughton. My husband and I stopped the DVD and listened to it again when we watched it. Very dark, yet comforting.

Oh definitely! I find that these things all circle around. Just the way Sherlock and Doctor Who are connecting, you're bound to catch references of Skyrim, Star Trek/Wars, Portal, etc. It's fantastic! :D

Troughton is definitely an amazing Doctor. He was one of the ones to catch me quick and hop up onto the shelf of 'my Doctors' (they're all there, really- even Shalka).

Doctor Who and Sherlock combined! 8D Oh that would be a dream come true. But for now I shall have to do with the awesome Doctor/Sherlock opening...
I've never actually watched the Sarah Jane adventures, but from what you gave me it seems to be pretty cool. Is it worth watching the entire series? I really loved the bit where the Doctor spoke about his oldest companions. I feel like he doesn't do enough of that in the actual Doctor Who show.
OHMYGOODNESS 8D Tell me those guards really are playing the Doctor Who theme and it isn't just a play over!!!
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart XD I was about to ask if they really believed we were going to think they were doing all the stunts, and then they cut to the tea drinking scene and I laughed. It did take me to the end to understand why you linked us to it...like the Doctor regenerating 8D

My husband and I really grew to love the Sarah Jane Adventures. You just have to remember that it was made for a younger audience. We really love Clive Langer. :D

I thought it might be for a younger audience after looking at the effects and characters XD But I might just give it a try! Thank you!

You know I really love how you reply to every single one of these things. It's really appreciated and noticed!

So far, I haven't watched enough of the SJAs to tell you if the whole series is worth it. But I tried the first few of the K-9 spin-off and it didn't do it for me- though I hear that one gets better. When I stop dabbling in radio dramas I'll get to the SJAs. But I hear they're pretty good for all ages despite being aimed at younger audiences. ;)

^_^ Of course I comment! You need to know how awesome it is getting to see all of this stuff! I have a big Doctor Who folder on my computer filled with a bunch of stuff that you've pointed us to (*spends hours playing with the dot stuff*)
I think I will need to give the SJA's a try. Someone else also mentioned they're very good (although for a younger audience) and it does look like fun.
